It isn't logging anything

Check that microphone access is allowed for Mikey in your phone's settings, and that listening is switched on in the app. Mikey only saves clips when it hears speech, and it pauses when free space drops below 1 GB. If "Only transcribe while charging" is on, transcription waits until your phone is plugged in.

Transcripts are missing or wrong

Speech is transcribed a little after it's heard, and can wait while the app is in the background. Opening the app catches up. Mikey starts with Whisper Tiny, the smallest transcription model. A larger one (Settings → Models → Transcription) is more accurate, especially with accents and noise. For languages other than English, choose "Any language".

Mikey can't answer

Make sure a chat model finished downloading (Settings → Models → Chat). The default Light model is fast but brief; Balanced and Smart give better answers and need more memory and storage. Answers only draw on what's in your log, so be specific about the day or time where you can.

Model downloads fail

Models are large. Make sure you have a stable connection and at least 1 GB free beyond the model's size. If "Download on Wi-Fi only" is on, connect to Wi-Fi.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete saved recordings removes kept audio. Settings → Delete everything removes transcripts, recordings, and chats. Deleting the app removes everything. We never receive your log, so we can't restore it.
